Throughout her academic career, Yvonne's exceptional talents have garnered recognition through prestigious scholarships, a testament to her outstanding excellence in musical performance.
Jiwon's educational voyage began with a Bachelor's degree at Sookmyung Women's University in Seoul, South Korea, where she laid the foundation for her musical prowess. To further refine her craft, she pursued a Master's degree at the renowned Manhattan School of Music in New York, USA, broadening her global perspective and enriching her musical repertoire.
One of Jiwon's most captivating attributes is her crystal-clear voice, which she skillfully employs to convey elegant and emotionally resonant expressions. Her profound understanding of classical music sets her apart as a true luminary in the field. Jiwon possesses a unique ability to delve into the intricate nuances of vocal music, transcending mere practice to create profound, heartfelt experiences. Following her graduation, Jiwon embarked on a diverse musical journey, embracing roles as a soloist, a valuable member of a professional Opera choir, and a captivating operatic performer. These experiences served as a crucible in which she matured both musically and personally, instilling in her a heightened sense of responsibility for her craft. Notably, after graduating as the Valedictorian of singing from her undergraduate school, she made her professional soloist debut in the Chosunilbo Debut Concert hosted by Chosunilbo.
Yvonne's remarkable journey also included being selected for a Young Artist Program at the Daegu Opern Studio, where she expanded her experience and repertoire over two years (2019-2020). Her achievements include winning the 1st prize in the Journal of Music Competition.
Jiwon You's extensive repertoire encompasses various styles and periods of music, including works by G.F. Händel, Henry Purcell, Mozart, Bellini, Rossini, Strauss, Floyd, and Bernstein. Her crystal-clear voice, elegant expressions, and rich emotional depth leave an indelible impression on her audience. Notable performances include her debut as Fiordiligi in the opera "Così fan tutte" at Sookmyung Women's University and the role of Rosina in "Il barbiere di Siviglia" during her training as a Solo Artist in the Daegu Young Artist program. At the Manhattan School of Music, she performed as La fee in Jules Massenet's opera "Cendrillon."
