Korean soprano Yvonne Jiwon You is recognized for her clear, expressive voice, lyrical warmth, and refined musical artistry. Her performances are distinguished by thoughtful interpretation and a strong connection to both text and character across operatic and concert repertoire.

Yvonne earned her Bachelor of Music in Voice from Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul, South Korea, where she graduated as the highest-ranked vocal performance student under the guidance of Hyunju Park. She later moved to New York City to pursue graduate studies, earning a Master of Music from Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Shirley Close and Mary Dunleavy, before completing a Professional Studies Diploma in Voice at Mannes School of Music in 2026 under the instruction of Laquita Mitchell and vocal coach Cristina Stanescu.

Throughout her academic training, Yvonne received numerous merit-based scholarships in recognition of her artistic achievement. Following her undergraduate studies, she made her professional solo debut at the Chosun Ilbo Debut Concert, presented by one of Korea's leading newspapers. She was subsequently selected for the Daegu Opera House Young Artist Program, where she trained and performed from 2019 to 2020.

Her operatic credits include Fiordiligi in Mozart's Così fan tutte, Rosina in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia, La Fée in Massenet's Cendrillon, and Servilia in Mozart's La clemenza di Tito. She also covered the role of Alice in Unsuk Chin's Puzzles and Games. In addition to her operatic work, she has appeared as a concert soloist and performed with professional opera ensembles.

Her repertoire spans Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and contemporary music, with works by composers including Handel, Purcell, Mozart, Bellini, Rossini, Richard Strauss, Massenet, Bernstein, Carlisle Floyd, and Unsuk Chin.

Alongside her performing career, Yvonne is dedicated to music education and enjoys mentoring young singers through private voice instruction, musicianship training, and vocal coaching.

Based in the New York metropolitan area, she continues to pursue opportunities in opera, concert performance, and music education while developing artistic collaborations throughout the United States and internationally.
